WELS: [Welstech] E-Rate Funding

Hi Karl,

You may want to get in touch with Jim Brandt (Commission on Parish Schools
Administrator) as his office is able to help schools out with the process of
applying for E-Rate Funding.

A couple of gotchas that I've heard of with the E-Rate program:
1) The application process does take some work. Current status, plus a
future technology plan need to be developed with the E-Rate application in
mind.
2) I think part of it (or all of it) is also based on the number of students
in the school who are or would be eligible to participate in the
free/reduced lunch program and also whether the school is a rural or urban
school. For many WELS schools, their rank in this area means they won't get
much of a discount.
